Container packaging and marking of dangerous goods

Our organization is engaged in the production of cardboard boxes. In this article, we decided to write about the packaging, packaging, and labeling of dangerous goods. In this matter, we are not at all bad at understanding.

Requirements for containers and packaging of dangerous goods

Containers and packaging must be intact, withstand the appropriate load and there must be no leakage or spillage of the cargo. The container must not react with the contents

Cargoes that emit hazardous gases must be packed tightly.

Loads in the glass should be in strong boxes, which are lined with non-combustible and easily absorbent materials.

Cargoes in cans, cans, and cans are packed in wooden crates.

Liquid cargoes must be filled in containers by regulatory standards.

Cargoes in bags or in corrugated boxes, when sent in small lots, are packed in rigid containers.

Dangerous goods of different types can be transported in one wagon only if they are permitted by the relevant documents. Each substance is packed separately in wooden boxes with nests. The bottom and gaps are filled with non-flammable packing materials.

Transport markings must contain

·         Danger signs

·         Name of the cargo

·         Classification cipher

·         UN number

·         Places of marking

·         Boxes and boxes (on the side, front, and topside)

The signs are in the form of a square placed on top with a minimum size of 100 * 100 mm.

A line of the same color as the symbol depicted on the sign is drawn along the perimeter of the sign 5 millimeters from the edge parallel to it. They should be on a contrasting background or outlined with an outer dotted line or solid outline. If the package is small, the size of the signs can be reduced, provided that the numbers are visible. Danger signs are divided into two triangles. At the top, the danger symbol is applied, at the bottom, the text and the class number.
